Christmas Morning

Becassine is busy in the Kitchen early Christmas morning...

...preparing a lovely Christmas diner for the Hitty Girls.

Saturday 8 December 2018

It is starting to look a lot like Christmas

Rose Cottage is looking very festive and the girls have been hard at work decorating it.

Some tinsel has been added to the tree, along with the Christmas Star.

Hitty Patience is working on the Christmas Card list, whilst Hitty Mary Jean and Hitty Rimu are putting out some nativity scenes.

Such industrious girls.

They are delighted with their tree.

Upstairs Hitty Annabelle is reading stories to the children.

Let there be light!

Looks like Hitty Moana might have really saved the day this time.

She has some more lights, and this time they are smaller and more delicate.

Hitty Mary Jean claps her hands in joy, declaring the lights just perfect.

The girls put the lights on the tree with Hitty Patience making sure the top one is in the right place.

The tree really does look delightful now.

A job well done.

Next job the decorating!

Christmas Lights!

Hitty Mary Jean thought she would get the lights ready while they were waiting for the other girls to bring the tree back.

There seems to be something wrong with them.

Oh no!  Disaster.  Hitty Patience is shocked that somehow the lights have lost their 'plug' and no longer work.  What are we going to do?

Never fear though, Hitty Moana comes to the rescue.

With my trusty shopping basket I can go down to the shops and be back with some lights ready in time for the arrival of the tree.

What a relief!

Choosing a Christmas Tree

Hitty Madge called all us girls together to see who wanted to go and choose a Christmas Tree.

Some of us were content to just stay in the warm, as we knew we would have fun decorating the tree once it arrived anyway.

Hitty Madge was joined by Hitty Annabelle and Hitty Rimu and they had a lot of fun choosing the tree.

They loaded it on the sleigh, helpfully pulled by a local reindeer ready to be taken home.
