Hitty Madge enjoyed a walk this afternoon.  She loved the moss at the base of this tree.

Hitty Morag enjoyed a lovely walk yesterday afternoon.

She discovered a lovely old church.

Said hello to a soldier 

Sat and remembered amongst the poppies.

Enjoyed nature and some fungi.

Time for Tea

Hitty Madge and Morag enjoyed a little outing today.

They enjoyed a cup or three of Green tea...

enjoyed a chat...

and some lunch, although were disappointed there were only four chips!

Christmas Yarn Decorations Out and About.

Hitty Madge was delighted yesterday when she was out and about to discover the local postboxes had been decorated with knitted Christmas decorations. 

They are all absolutely delightful.

She insisted on having her photo taken with them all

Of course now she wants to change into her Christmas dress as it would have been far more appropriate than her Autumnal dress.

She especially loved the little dog....

and of course Father Christmas!

Phoebe Out and About - Part Three

Sunday night Phoebe enjoyed listening to the bells ringing from a village church.  Fortunately she had her hat and scarf with her, so wasn't too cold.

That same evening she made some bead necklaces.  The first she is wearing - a red coral necklace - of course! 

She wanted one to match her pink dress, and also wanted a bracelet.

Success!  Reading for the warmer weather.

Phoebe appears to have found a little friend.

This little wooden mouse came home from NZ one year with Hitty Madge.  

Yesterday she helped make a loaf of bread.

Plus a lemon cake for our elderly friends.

An extra one was made this morning - looks like several slices have been eaten already!

Finally!

Hitty Madge went out on an excursion today...after a long time...although she does actually travel round with me everywhere, she has been out of her little sleeping/carry pouch for ages.

We had a lovely afternoon walking along the canal.

Dahlia and Celebration Garden.

Hitty Madge, accompanied by her friend Potters Bear enjoyed a walk round the lovely Dahlia and Celebration garden at a local garden centre this afternoon.

They managed to walk round it in between showers.  

They took turns in measuring their height.

Potters Bear is a little taller because of his ears!

They loved all the colour in the garden.

Hitty Madge wants us to build one of these in our garden!

Time for cake and a cuppa!  Looks like something has nibbled the bottom of this cake!

An Afternoon Stroll

The sun finally showed its face today so Hitty Madge took the two Hitty Helen's to our local park.  

They were well wrapped up warm as although the sun was out, it was very cold!

Chatting about the litter they found just the other side of this plant and what a shame it was that people didn't take more care of their environment.

This tree has been dead a long time but makes quite a feature throughout the year and is named the 'Wildlife Tree' due to all the different wildlife flora and fauna that make it their home.

They sit and watch the ducks on one of the ponds.

I quite think they enjoyed a jolly good natter as well!

Hitty Helen Robertson found some snowdrops. 

More snowdrops!  Hitty Helen Miller, leaned in to see if they had any scent.

Hitty Helen R found some very pretty yellow blossom that she said reminded her of sunshine and summer.  

Hitty Helen M found another flowering plant whose name escapes us at the moment - we used to have the green version in our garden.

Doing some more sitting while they watch some birds on the water.  There seemed to be more birds than usual, and some were taking quite an interest in each other!  Perhaps Spring is on its way?

In the distance  can be seen what used to be Oakmere House, of which Oakmere Park were its grounds,  but is now a 'Beefeater' Restaurant
