This was the stage 'she' was left at...it seems a grain line (or seam) has appeared, especially down the face which is a bit of a shame.
Anyway today was dry enough outside to work on her, even if a little chilly! Her arm shoulders ended up a bit thin...it is all too easy to get a bit carried away with shaving wood off! So now the rest of the arms and hands will have to be thinned down a bit...not such an easy task.
Looking at her in profile.
Our person finds the faces very hard to do indeed... just as the lips were forming, a chunk of them split off! So frustrating! But I think she is getting there. Trouble is our person's arm hurts and tingles now, so that was probably why she put this new Hitty aside in the first place!
This Hitty will be the 10th Hitty our person will have carved, if she ever gets her finished. She will stay here with us, as all the others apart from Hitty Madge who was Number 1, have left home to live elsewhere.
Hitty Ten is indeed looking more and more like a hug-able doll that will be so fun to follow along and see what brightness she brings to your household. Keep up the good work and I trust your arm will stop hurting shortly.
