Hitty Mischievous Visit - Part Eight - London

Hitty Madge decided to risk taking Hitty Mischievous out for the day.  They went into London to see the poppies at the Tower of London

Hitty Mischievous was astounded by the display, even though they couldn't get very close due to the sheer volume of people.

It was rather a sobering thought to think they represented all the lives lost during the First World War.

Unfortunately due to the sheer number of people, Hitty Madge & Hitty Mischievous didn't get a chance to get their photo taken together today.

On the way home, Hitty Mischievous discovered that they had to catch the train at Kings Cross Station in London and was curious to know whether there really was a 'Platform 9 3/4'

She was delighted to discover there really was,  although today they seemed to have a professional photographer and queues of people lining up to get their photo taken.  Strange as normally it is quite deserted!

She thinks she might enrol at the Hogwarts School of Witches and Wizardry.

  1. I would love to see that installation at the Tower. We've been keeping up with it via the Internet. How lovely that the Hittys at Rose Cottage can be witnesses to history (and literature...how fun is finding Platform9 3/4?!!)

    1. It was amazing, wish we had gone earlier really, but weather and other things kept putting us off. Still glad we got to see it.

  2. The work of poppy art is amazing, I've seen other images on BBC and the Guardian websites - just amazing. Good you could go see it in person.

As for platform 9 3/4 - I think Miss Hitty M ought to enroll right away!
