Hitty Joyful has done it! With help from others in our Hitty family of course. Yes sure enough The Rose Cottage Tea Rooms are now open for business. There is still the sign to go up, and the bracket for the hanging flowers, which seems to have gone missing at the moment, but otherwise it is all go.

Hitty Mischievous was delighted to be one of the first visitors to the tea room and especially pleased to be partaking of tea with Hitty Madge.
Hitty Mischievous is telling Hitty Madge all about her journey here and how for the life of her, she really doesn't know quite how this detour happened, but Hitty Madge isn't quite so naive....she is pretty sure that Hitty Mischievous knows EXACTLY how it happened! Of course she doesn't let on as she is delighted to have her visiting us here at Rose Cottage and of course to be the first official visitor to the newly opened Rose Cottage Tea Rooms.
Hitty Joyful wanders over to see if Hitty Leonarda and Hitty Mary Jean are enjoying their order.
It looks very much as if they have just gone for the cakes!
She hopes they enjoy their tea and cakes and wanders over to the other table.
Hitty Mischievous and Hitty Madge have gone for the savoury option with cucumber sandwiches...
Hitty Joyful hopes they enjoying their food. They assure her they are.
All is good and they have a lovely time and enjoy a very leisurely and sociable time in the Tea Room.
The Quimper Hittys are rather green with envy. Cucumber sandwiches! Cream Scones!! Oh my! Hitty Joyful is a great tea lady, checking up on them unobtrusively, and letting them drink their tea in peace!
ReplyDeleteHitty Joyful is a natural born tea lady isn't she? She just loves what she does.
DeleteReally lovely Lorraine. Those ceramic tea sets are gorgeous. The ladies look very happy.
ReplyDeleteI once made Neapolitan Bars, cream filled buns with chocolate glaze, brownies with nuts on top, and cakes and a gingerbread house for my dollhouse dolls. Fimo is great for that and the "cream" was white gesso. Chocolate shavings can be shavings from a brown coloured pencil. Chocolate chip cookies--I made them from FIMO and then glued them to a mini baking tray.
Some ideas for you if you fancy stocking the shop with further goodies:

Thank you for the link! I definitely want to make some goodies for them as the ones I currently have are really too small being 1/12th size . Wow, your gingerbread house is amazing! Thank you for the tips.
DeleteI will have to see if I can order some FIMO and other supplies.
